       the Samurai      by Jean Rodriguez

Research paper

Samurais were the warriors of premodern japan. They lived a unique way of a life, they considered it the warriors way of life. They weren’t afraid to fight and so that led to much bloodshed, as they became known for the wielders of the katana and kunais. Samurais were known to always have a katana equipped in case something went wrong. Because they were expected to always protect their leader they always carried the katana around. And kunais were used during assassinations and such of other daimyos (leaders) of clans. Both weapons are known to be very lethal weapons. I decided to mimic both of these weapons that had separate fighting styles headon and stealth, on openscad. The katana is characterized by its distinctive appearance, a curved, singleedged blade with a circular or squared guard and long grip allowing the wielder to use 2 hands. And the kunai known to the samurai was a dagger that could either be thrown or used closeranged. On openscad, noting the lethalness of bothweapons, I ensured to make both objects pointy using twist to give an edge and rotating figures to even out sides. click here for full article...
